Where do I check in?
All guests must check in at Hakuba Base Camp. If you arriving after 9pm at night then we can arrange a self check in. This must be arranged in advance.
What time can I check in?
You can check in any time between 15:00 and 21:00. If arriving after this time we will arrange a self check in with you. It is important to let us know if your plans change so we can arrange to have someone on hand to greet you.
What is self check in?
If you wish do have a self check in (due to late arrival, or to keep social distance), we will send you your room number and door code several days before check in.
If you are not resident in Japan, then we will need to be forwarded copies of all guests passports prior to check in.
Is there car parking on site?
All Alpine Hakuba properties have free on-site parking. Please park as directed as to not interfere with snow clearing.
Can you pick me up on arrival?
We offer a free pick up service for all guests from Hakuba Base Camp (Nagano Snow Shuttle), Happo Information Center, or Hakuba Station.
Note that if all guests are not arriving together, we will pick up and check in the first guests, then the other guests can go directly to the property.
What documents do I need to provide?
For all non-residents of Japan, we are required by law to take a copy of your passport. If you wish to do a self check in, please send the photo page of your passport to us prior to check in.
We will also need a credit card to guarantee the stay in case of any damage to the unit.
Where is the closest supermarket?
There are 3 main supermarkets in Hakuba.
We will run you to the supermarket on arrival, and then we provide 3 weekly runs during your stay.

Do units have Internet access?
All Alpine Hakuba properties have free, unlimited high speed Wifi.
Do you have any smoking units?
We are sorry but all Alpine Hakuba Properties are 100% Non Smoking. Guests wishing to smoke must do so outside.
How do I get to Hakuba?

What kind of amenities do you offer?
As each guest has different preferences, we do not stock extra amenities.
On arrival your unit will have a small supply of toilet paper and dish-washing liquid.
Shampoo, conditioner, body soap (liquid), and other supplies are available for a small fee.
Can you supply Lift Passes?
You can purchase Hakuba Valley Lift passes on arrival at Hakuba Base Camp, or you can order them in advance and we’ll have them waiting for you.
I need rental equipment, can you help us arrange it?
We have agreements with many local suppliers. We can arrange a transfer to the rental outlet and also for the collection of equipment from your property at the conclusion of the stay.
We would like to book lessons. Can you assist?
We can put you in touch with any of the major ski schools in Hakuba Valley. We’ll get you to arrange the details with the operator from there as they often have specific questions about ability, age etc and it is easier to talk directly to them.
I have a lot of ski gear. Can I send it to the airport?
We can send your luggage at Hakuba Base Camp.
Note we need to send it at least 72 hours before your flight.
