Hi there & Welcome to our Site!

Looking at staying in Hakuba and want to get to know your hosts?

Kevin

Trying to negotiate peace with North Korea with Tony of White Horse Hotel Hakuba Fame. They failed!!
Keeping this boulder from tipping over at the Stolby Nature Sanctuary in Krasnoyarsk, Russia

Well, the boss is a New Zealand guy called Kevin. He’s been in Japan since 1992, and moved to Hakuba in 2004. He and his wife Hiromi, have 4 kids and 2 grand-kids. Being from New Zealand he loves his rugby, and travels all over the world to support his beloved All Blacks. He’s had 2 mid life crises, and he got over them by buying a motorbike, and getting laser surgery on his eyes. But now he has settled down and travels a lot (in fact we don’t see him at all in May and June, which makes his wife happy). He also dabbles in snowboarding, mountain biking, scuba diving, and golf. Wining and dining is also a hobby of his, and you’ll often see him climbing the stairs at the ski jump to burn off the excess calories from the night before.

It’s not just all fun and games. Kevin is head of the Inbound Tourism Board in Hakuba, a director on the Hakuba Tourism Commission, Founding Chairman of HIBA, and a Little League Baseball Umpire (don’t ask).

Yvonne

Not a cloud in the sky, get the sun in my eyes
And I won’t be surprised if it’s a dream
I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch the sky

One of the members of reservation team, Yvonne is from Hong Kong. She has been in Japan since 2011 and worked in Hakuba since joining our team 2014. She lacks sports talent and is a permanent snowboarding beginner. Having grown up in the city, she hates all kinds of insect and has no knowledge in taking care of plants and vegetables, which her husband always jokes about.

She has visited 28 out of 47 prefectures of Japan. As she has never been further north than Fukushima, the next personal (not a family and business) trip should be somewhere northern.
